Living in a place that brings anywhere from 5-8 months of winter every year, It has become something we just embrace! This is a series of winter photographs taken on film that I really love and wanted to encapsulate in a quick blog post. Enjoy!

One of my favorite seasons to photograph is wintertime. It's so peaceful and quiet outside. The snow muffles all sounds and blankets all of the trees and nature in shimmering white snow.

Morning light shines on a frozen landscape

A few of my favorite things are cold brisk mornings, sunshine and film photography. That's a recipe for some super fun photographs! On days like this I opt for shooting on Kodak Portra 400. It gives you some wiggle room with the moody morning shadows - here's a link to get some for yourself (Portra 400)
