Something unique about this property is that it is made up of a small cluster of tiny cabins and another set of bungalows. The design and intention that went into each and every space elevates the experience to another level. The floor to ceiling glass windows on the tiny cabins allow for the most beautiful morning sunshine to seep in and set the mood, good for a cup of tea and a good book
Shooting interiors, especially moody darker interiors on film is a challenge! Like the shower shot above, often the detail in the shadows gets lost and it makes for a grainy, more moody image. I don't quite know why, but I am particularly inspired to shoot more and more interiors on film. I think it's the challenge combined with the final result of some vibey moody images that keeps me looking for more spaces to photograph.
There's a small pond and a whole bunch of trees that separate the two areas of the property at Cuyuna Cove. There are what seems to be miles of string lights that are draped through the tree branches in the woods and around the community fire place. It's actually one of my favorite things about this resort! It brings the vibe full circle, an icing on the cake typa deal :)
this micro resort is a must stay spot for anyone who finds themselves in Northern Minnesota. I think I am really a fan of this format of sharing content, blogging about it right inside my favorite platform bar none. Thanks for checking this out! I'll give it an honest effort to show up here often with fun new images and projects. Maybe even some travels if we are lucky enough to get out on more adventures this winter.
